The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (US, 1998) lets copyright owners ask online platforms to remove infringing content. HupSub follows DMCA §512 procedures and qualifies for "Safe Harbor" protection.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement / ການລາຍງານການລະເມີດລິຂະສິດ

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), knowingly submitting a false DMCA Notice can result in damages and attorney fees. Do not file if you are not the copyright owner or authorized agent.

3. HupSub Response Procedure / ຂັ້ນຕອນຂອງ HupSub
Upon receipt of a valid Notice, HupSub will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours
- Remove or disable the allegedly infringing material
- Notify the user who uploaded the material
- Forward the takedown notice to the uploader

4. Counter-Notification / Counter Notice
If you are the user whose content was removed and believe removal was a mistake, file a Counter-Notice under §512(g) containing:
- Your signature
- Identification of removed material and previous location
- Good-faith statement under penalty of perjury
- Your name, address, phone
- Consent to US Federal District Court for Delaware jurisdiction

5. Restoration After Counter-Notice / ການກູ້ຄືນ
Upon receipt of a valid Counter-Notice, HupSub will forward it to the original claimant. If the claimant does not file a lawsuit within 10-14 business days, HupSub will restore the content.

Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. §512(i), HupSub terminates accounts of repeat copyright infringers. After receiving three (3) valid DMCA Notices against the same user within 12 months, the user's account will be permanently terminated.

8. International Claims / ການຮ້ອງຮຽນສາກົນ
Although DMCA is US law, HupSub honors equivalent claims from other jurisdictions (EU Copyright Directive Article 17, UK CDPA, Lao IP Law 2017). Use the same procedure.

9. Limitation / ຂໍ້ຈຳກັດ
HupSub is not in a position to evaluate the legal merits of any claim. Disputes between parties must be resolved between them or through courts. HupSub's role is limited to processing notices per US Copyright Act §512.
